NEUVIÈME TOIT

BOOTH A2

Founded in 2014 by entrepreneur and public relations consultant Goudet Abalé, NEUVIÈME TOIT is a multidisciplinary collective of young francophone artists in the fields of painting, music, photography, fashion, design and audiovisual arts.
Based in Paris, NEUVIÈME TOIT is notably composed of Alexandre Elenga (painter and infographist), Lucie Plaettner (stylist), Shayne (rapper), Aksel Gaspard (director), and Christy Hash (photographer).

For the 2022 edition, NEUVIÈME TOIT is proud to collaborate with the artist Willow Evann and 31 PROJECT and the agencies NFT4All and Makom. This immersive artistic proposal will combine both the perception of the real world and its virtual mirror. Three physical works will be presented by Willow Evann (Google Noir, Tiraillés, and Zaouli) in a space that will also host their virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) versions. Visitors will be able to access the works using a VR headset or a tablet with an AR application. A collection of 500 NFTs will also be on sale.

Willow Evann +

A protean artist born in 1985, Willow Evann expressed very early the need to express himself through the body. Coming from a housing estate in Bondy, and originally from the Ivory Coast, Willow has been wondering for a long time about his origins, about the relations between France and Africa, about the image and the social status of black people evolving in Western societies. These reflections are a common thread in his work as a dancer, photographer, and now as a visual artist. His latest works, in carved raw wood, depict this internal journey and address intimate questions, but with a universal resonance. In 2019, Willow Evann joins the Kourtrajmé school in which he experiments and develops his plastic language.
