ABLAKASSA is an artistic experience conceived by Ivorian artist and designer Jean Servais Somian and Franco-Rwandan curator Roger Karera.ABLAKASSA, inspired by the enlightened philosophy of Bisi Silva (1962- 2019), sets itself apart by focusing on the evolution of local art scenes. ABLAKASSA is a major event that pays tribute to pioneering artists whose work has conquered the world while remaining deeply rooted in African soil.

ABLAKASSA offers African artists and the African dispora a singular platform and seeks to inspire African youth, encouraging them to take ownership of their history and their own destiny. ABLAKASSA goes beyond the exhibition, it is both an educational and political event whose sole aim is to develop a strong local ecosystem of creative and artistic industries.
