Cité internationale des arts

Studio visit with artist Pamela Tulizo, a photographer from the Democratic Republic of Congo and a resident at the Cité internationale des arts. In 2020, she won the Dior Photography and Visual Arts Prize for Emerging Talents. In 2021, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) presented her series Enfer Paradisiaque, inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic: images of models wearing dresses made from essential materials and products such as light bulbs, food, or charcoal. Through both documentary and staged photography, she explores women’s rights, roles, and place in society.
