Alice Marcelino

Born 1980 in Luanda, Angola, Alice Marcelino is a visual artist working mainly with photography, living and working between London and Lisbon. Alice Marcelino graduated from East London University in 2016 with a BA (Hons) in Photography and is studying an MA in Digital Media at Goldsmiths University in London. Her work explores culture, tradition, migration and identity, reflecting on their meaning in our ever-changing globalized world. She counts solo exhibitions at Alma da City Council Gallery (2022), Redbridge Central Library, U.K. (2018) and Terra Drip in Macau (2018). The artist has also participated in group exhibitions at the Camões Institute in Luanda (2020), the Jean-Claude Maier Gallery (2020), the project This is not a Museum (2019 and 2020) and Spaces in Between (2019) in Portugal.
